Open an iPhone HEIC photograph in a workflow that needs PNG. The image is decoded by the conversion service, so a missing browser preview does not necessarily prevent conversion.
WebP is a strong default for website images because it usually keeps quality high at a smaller file size. JPEG is practical for photo uploads and forms, PNG is better for screenshots or transparent artwork, and AVIF can be useful when the destination supports newer formats.
A 1600 pixel wide export is enough for many full-width web layouts, while square profile photos often need exact dimensions such as 512 by 512. Keeping enlargement disabled prevents small originals from becoming soft or stretched.
Lower quality settings can shrink photos quickly, but logos, text, and interface screenshots often need PNG to keep edges crisp. The best result depends on whether the image is headed to a website, email, form upload, product listing, or profile.
PNG can produce a substantially larger file than the source HEIC. If a form accepts both PNG and JPG and has a small file-size limit, try the HEIC to JPG tool instead.
A Live Photo includes motion data beyond its still image. This converter exports a still image; it does not preserve the paired video, depth effects, or an editable Apple Photos project.
The PNG is a compatibility copy. Do not assume that camera metadata, HDR appearance, or editing history will survive the conversion. Keep the HEIC source in your photo library.
