Create a WebP version of PNG artwork for a website. This preset starts at quality 90 to give text, logos, and hard edges more room than a typical photo export.
WebP is a strong default for website images because it usually keeps quality high at a smaller file size. JPEG is practical for photo uploads and forms, PNG is better for screenshots or transparent artwork, and AVIF can be useful when the destination supports newer formats.
A 1600 pixel wide export is enough for many full-width web layouts, while square profile photos often need exact dimensions such as 512 by 512. Keeping enlargement disabled prevents small originals from becoming soft or stretched.
Lower quality settings can shrink photos quickly, but logos, text, and interface screenshots often need PNG to keep edges crisp. The best result depends on whether the image is headed to a website, email, form upload, product listing, or profile.
Lossy compression can soften tiny type and sharp edges. View the output at its intended display size. If the lettering becomes difficult to read, increase quality or keep the PNG.
WebP supports alpha transparency, so transparent PNG artwork can keep its background clear. Check partially transparent shadows and edges against both a light and dark background in your final design.
Use the WebP as a delivery asset, not your only design master. Keep the original PNG or design document for future edits, especially when the artwork includes text or a company logo.
